2025 Pre-Departure Training

As part of their pre-departure preparation, volunteers are required to complete various training sessions based on the project they will be participating in. Below is a summary of the training requirements for each project type. 

Overview 

  • Volunteers in projects for ages 13-14 

    • Attend H&S Webinar (required for parents/guardians). 

    • Attend PIP webinar and review PIP. 

  • Volunteers in projects for ages 15-19, 2-3 weeks*:  

    • Complete asynchronous training (only National Chapter volunteers). 

    • Attend H&S Webinar (required for parents/guardians). 

    • Attend PIP webinar and review PIP. 

  • Volunteers in 4+ week projects:  

    • Complete asynchronous training (only National Chapter volunteers). 

    • Attend Zoom online LIVE trainings. 

    • Attend H&S Webinar (required for parents/guardians). 

    • Attend PIP webinar and review PIP.  

* Includes Paraguay: Cross-Cultural Connection and Nature. 

 

Asynchronous online training for National Chapter volunteers 

Volunteers who are required to complete this training will receive an email from training@amigosinternational.org with their login to access the online training. Volunteers are required to complete this training before they get their travel itinerary. This course is expected to take around 3-6 hours in total, but this will vary depending on each volunteer’s pace. 

 

Live training sessions for volunteers in 4+ weeks projects 

  • Training session #2: Tuesday, May 27 – 7:30 to 8:30 pm Central Time 

  • Training session #3: Tuesday, June 3 – 7:30 to 8:30 pm Central Time
